Archer-the archer is the first long-range character that you will get. Archers, in my opinion, are only good if they have a bow and not a crossbow. The reason is because a bow can shoot over objects (rocks, trees, walls, etc.) and a crossbow cannot. The only disadvantage is that a bow is 2-handed while a crossbow is not.

Knight-This is one of the best fighters in the game. Knights have the ability to break anything a human enemy is wearing. Plus, the Knights support ability to equip armor no matter what job class is a great asset. The best combo for a knight later in the game is the equip the support ability "2-swords", which you get from the ninja. This gives the knight class to ability of having 2 attacks. This is great because the knight is one of the strongest physical attacks in the game.

Priest-The priest is a white magician, specializing in white magic.  White magic is
mainly for curing and protecting.  The curing and protecting of the priest can make or break most early battles, but I find it less useful as the game goes on.  The only "real" attacking spell of the priest is Holy, which is useful for killing enemies with eakness to the Holy Power.

is greater than that of the summoner.  The wizard’s spells are usually faster, and cheaper than the summoner’s spells, but at a loss of the attack range.  When the wizard learns the powerful spells, his power is unmatched.  In physical power however...
